We'll always remember working with Alma Mater fondly, as they gave Jason (co owner and main designer, amongst many other things) the freedom for the first time to create a bespoke design for them in their playground.
Jason was excited on discussing plans with the school to find out that they had a lovely tree in their playground, that they wanted him to incorporate into a playground piece. Jason loves the chance to use nature in the playground in this way, and he'd soon come up with a design for a Tyre Tree Bridge.
The fork in the trees trunk to be used as a platform for the bridge was low enough to make this a perfect climbing piece for the age group required.
The piece required a second platform, as we only had one tree to use, so Jason chose a two-tier Tyre Cube climbing shape to create it.
The Staircase design worked well, and no changes were made to Jasons original design.
Don't you just want to run up those stairs?! |
Tyre strips, that run the entire length of the bridge walkway, to prevent anyone falling through the Tyres. |
Soon, the bridge was connected to the Cube Climber, and with supporting handrail chains, Yippys first Tyre Tree Bridge complete.
Tyre Cube access to the bridge. |
