Yippy Playground Projects: Poplar Academy, Crowthorne. December 2011

When Poplar Academy in Crowthorne contacted us in September last year and asked us to design them a Tyre Jungle Gym for their preschool playground, we couldn't have been more pleased.

Owner of the school, Lizelle Naude, had bought three Tyre Horse Swings from us on a previous Sales Trip and we had left the school at the time, loving the play spaces and wishing we could add more Yippy.

And here was our chance! Yippy loved the natural setting chosen for the gym and Jason began working on a design that incorporated the surroundings.

On meeting with the school to make plans, Jason came away with more designs to do as Yippy began what has so far been an ongoing project, to put a much Yippy in Poplars playground as they will allow us!

The Planet Bridge Gym was born and completed in the Christmas holidays, and we then moved on to Poplars two other playgrounds, for Primary and Secondary, building a gym in each along with a few other stand alone items.

We enjoyed working with the school so much, the Yippy Tester Boys (owners sons, four and two) worked hard to test the equipment for us and they really have such a lovely, established 'Garden' playground at Poplar Academy, it was a very pleasant environment to work in.
